Defending champion Devapathiraja College Rathgama,along with last year’s runner -up Anula Vidyalaya Nugegoda, Rathnawali Balika Vidyalaya Gampaha and St. Anthony’s Girl’s College Kandy advanced to the semi-finals of the ongoing ‘Singer Under 19 Girls’ Cricket tournament. The two power houses of girls cricket Devapathiraja College Rathgama beat Sri Siddhartha MMV Eppawala by 149 runs and Anula Vidyalaya Nugegoda beat Gamini National School Nuwara Eliya by a huge 228 runs in the first two quarter finals.

In the other two quarter-final matches Rathnawali Balika Vidyalaya Gampaha beat Nugawela Central College by 78 runs and St. Anthony’s Girl’s College Kandy beat Wijayabahu MV Okkampitiya by three wickets to book their berths for the semi-finals.

Devapathiraja College Rathgama will meet St. Anthony’s Girl’s College Kandy and Anula Vidyalaya Nugegoda will meet Rathnawali Balika Vidyalaya Gampaha in the semi finals which will take place in Colombo later this month.
