Grade 10 teacher allegedly assaulted for punishing student
View(s):A Grade 10 teacher of Kalpitiya Alankuda Muslim Mixed School was allegedly assaulted by 6 persons, over an allegation that the teacher had punished a student, Norochcholai Police said. The father of the student who had been punished, is alleged to have been among the assailants.
The incident had occurred last Friday (2), after the student complained to his father that the teacher had punished him for leaving school without informing school authorities.
The teacher has made a complaint to the Norochcholai Police that the student was in the habit of using abusive language on girls in his class, and the teacher had warned the student against it several times. The student was punished for disregarding these warnings.
Norochcholai Police are conducting investigations to arrest the suspects. - PCK
