With reference to the above headlined article published in the Business Times on October 1, an error has crept in a particular comment made by Sri Lanka Tea Board Chairman Dr. Rohan Pethiyagoda during a speech at the Planters Association AGM. It should correctly read as: “Only three per cent of these 18-24 year olds – and despite 90 per cent having made it to O/L education – had ever heard of sexually transmitted diseases.” The error is regretted.
