UK Govt’s Chevening scholarships now open
View(s):The Chevening Secretariat is accepting applications for UK Govt scholarships for the year 2018/2019. Applications for the scholarships are open from August 7 to November 7, and can be submitted via WWW. Chevening.org/apply. The scholarship offers full financial support for any eligible Master’s Degree at any UK university, whilst gaining access to a wide range of academic, professional and cultural events.
There are more than 1,500 scholarships on offer globally for academic year of 2018/2019, representing a significant investment from the UK Govt. The call for new applicants follows the selection of 8 scholars from Sri Lanka to study at a UK university in the academic year 2016/2017.
Chevening, initiated in 1983, has developed into an international awards scheme for Chevening scholars from over 160 countries and territories worldwide (excluding the USA and the EU). There are over 48,000 Chevening Alumni worldwide.
Chevening scholarships are the UK Govt’s global scholarship programme funded by the the Foreign & Commonwealth Office (FCO) and partner organisations.
