Gas World launches largest, purpose-built medical gas filling facility
View(s):Gas World (Pvt) Ltd, an associate company of Industrial Gases (Pvt) Ltd (IGL) which marked its 25th anniversary of operations in Sri Lanka, has launched a new dedicated medical gas filling facility with a cylinder traceability system.
With this new automated filling facility, located in Sapugaskanda and which is the largest in the country, Gas World expands its medical oxygen, breathing air, nitrogen and nitrous oxide supply to hospitals to assist patients in need.
A media release from the company said that Gas World is one of the key medical oxygen manufacturing companies, supplying from its own state-of-the-art cryogenic air separation plant, which generates liquid oxygen and liquid nitrogen and which conforms to international standards.
The new filling centre is geared to deliver cost competitive options to customers with advanced cylinder filling using world-class technologies and innovative solutions, while encapsulating industry-leading safety features and environment-friendly best good manufacturing practices.
Speaking at the official opening, Gas World Chairman Sumith Guruge stated, “Gas World continues to see growth opportunities in the country with our firm presence in the industry. We have an established track record of continued investments and of bringing the latest technology to Sri Lanka.
