Child flying kite falls into water hole and drowns
View(s):An eight-year-old child flying a kite fell into a water hole and drowned in the Kosgahahinna area in Bambaragaswewa, Galewela this week.
Arosh Imesh, a Grade 3 student, had been with a group of friends flying kites in a paddy field and had accidentally fallen into the water hole.
His friends had raised the alarm when he fell in when several adults in the village had rushed to the spot and managed to get him out.
However, the child was dead on admission, hospital sources said.
