Qatar Airways has sent a clarification to the article titled “Qatar crisis: Lanka unlikely to be affected” which was published in the Business Times on Sunday June 11. The letter says:

“We would like to highlight the airspace reporting has been over-generalised and the vast majority of our flights do not pass through Iraq airspace, with the exception of our daily flights to destinations in Iraq and to Amman, Jordan.  Like all other airlines, Qatar Airways adheres to the guidance, regulations and recommendations of all relevant international organisations and safety authorities. The safety of our passengers and crew has been, and remains, Qatar Airways top priority as we maintain smooth operations to the vast majority of our global network.”
