The Korea Importers’ Association (KOIMA) with the support of the Sri Lanka Embassy in the Republic of Korea launched recently the KOIMA Trade Promotion Partners Committee (TPPC) of Sri Lanka.

The event took place at the Sri Lanka Embassy in Seoul. CEOs of five Korean companies -, CAC Trading Co, Green Natural Corp, Daichung Industrial Corp, Chunghan Chem Int’l Ltd, and Phil Co engaged or interested in importing products from Sri Lanka became the first members of TPPC.

Chairman of KOIMA Myong Jin Shin, Sri Lanka’s Ambassador Manisha Gunasekera, senior officials of KOIMA, Minister Counsellor / Commercial of the Sri Lanka Embassy, and CEOs of the first five members of TPPC participated in the event, where certificates of membership were awarded to the five companies.

Sri Lanka is among the first countries with which a TPPC has been initiated by KOIMA. The objective of TPPC – Sri Lanka is to create a larger network and interest group on Sri Lanka within KOIMA, the Sri Lankan embassy said in a media statement.
