The first ever paperless job in Sri Lanka is a novel creation by everjobs.lk to facilitate linkages between employer and job-seekers and by drastically reducing paper work involved in such correspondence.

It offers jobs seekers a new and innovative way of applying for jobs in Sri Lanka, said the Managing Director of everjobs.lk, Rushabh Sheth at a media briefing held at the Kingsbury Hotel Colombo last week.

He said everjobs commenced its operations four years ago in Myanmar and thereafter extended its coverage to countries like Bangladesh, Cambodia and Sri Lanka. “Today is the second anniversary of everjobs.lk in Sri Lanka. We are a career platform and our mission is to link job-seekers including professionals with the corporate sector with regard to job opportunities in Sri Lanka. The paperless concept is aimed at cutting down paper work and involves sending CVs to companies with a click of a button, the quickest possible way to do it.â€

He said Sri Lanka is becoming a mobile and Internet-first country and job-seekers are becoming a part of the economy through us. “We look forward to taking it to the next level through the paperless job fair in May. In most job fairs professionals use a lot of paper while forwarding their CV and on the other hand Human Resource Managers find it hard to keep all such documents without misplacing them.”

He said fees will not be levied from job-seekers and professionals for such endeavours.

Daniel Topolanek, Head of Business Development at everjobs Sri Lanka said that at normal job fairs, job-seekers spend a lot of time printing their CV’s and then handing it over to companies for processing purposes that involves a lot of paperwork.

He said Sri Lankans are tech savvy and Sri Lanka itself is at the forefront of modern technology. With everjobs companies will be able to interact with job-seekers and spend more time with them.

It will be the first-ever paperless job fair to be held on May 6-7 at the BMICH Colombo to offer job-seekers a new and an innovative way of applying for jobs than traditionally handing over CVs personally to companies. Professionals can apply directly with their online profile via everjobs.lk The entire process takes less than one minute to enable companies to manage all applications online and interview applicants on the spot. Those on the lookout for jobs will be required to scan company specific QR codes at the fair in order to apply. According to everjobs over 1 million persons visited everjobs in 2016 and with more than 200,000 applications , ever jobs has become one of the leading job platforms in Sri Lanka just after two years of operations in the country.

Over 500 companies have selected the job portal as their preferred recruitment advisor.
