Entries are now open for the Cinnamon Travel Photography and Videography Awards with the deadline for submissions being May 15.

This is a bi-annual competition, celebrating the best photography and videography captured in  Sri Lanka by anyone of any nationality and any level of experience.Travellers, photographers and videography enthusiasts who have visited and captured Sri Lanka will be encouraged to submit their best work to be judged by an independent, international panel of judges, the organisers from Cinnamon Hotels said.

The winner of the grand prize will walk away with US$5000, international media exposure, a six-page spread in the Cinnamon Magazine and an all-expense paid, 21-day tour of Sri Lanka. The best videographer will also receive a cash prize of $2,500 along with an all-expense paid, 10-day tour of the island. The curated photography tours on offer will cover airfare, luxurious accommodation at Cinnamon properties, adventurous excursions, transport for the entire tour, and most of all, the opportunity to capture the most exotic sites of Sri Lanka. Additionally, winners of each category will win cash prizes of $500 each.

Anyone who has travelled to
Sri Lanka between January 1 and May 15, 2017, may share images and video clips of their travels across the island. More details are on http://photocontest.cinnamonhotels.com/
