Crafting a new sound with PYRAMIDS

If the band members of PYRAMIDS seem familiar that's perhaps because they previously performed for 2 years with Majesty. Last month four members out of the five, took the plunge and formed Pyramids. The newly formed group will air their first music video at the end of March.
With plans to put out 3 to 4 music videos this year, the members seemed rearing to go – decked out as if they were ready to take the stage, the gloomy weather surrounding the interview didn't dampen their spirits.
The band's current line-up consists of Pramuk Elica (Elica) the Frontman / Vocals, Isitha Fernando (Isi) on Guitar, Eshan De Jackline (Jacky) on keyboards, Kasun Shamira (Kitty) on Drums and Yasith Kodithuwakku (Yasi) on Bass.
As a band they felt they needed a change but at the same time they point out that they are respectful of everyone's ideas. A fun loving group, their preferred genre is alternative music with an eye towards Commercial music in Sri Lanka.
Those who would like to check them out could catch them performing at the Otta's club on Friday Nights. They also play at weddings and other functions as well. When asked about the transformation from Majesty to Pyramids, Pramuk replied "I think it's a good come back and a successful re-branding in a very short time period. We didn't split from Majesty it's the same guys, we needed the change and we moved out to a new branding and we found Yasith our talented new bassist. It's a very awesome change."
Apart from performing with the band, Pramuk works as a Database Marketing team leader in Sri Lanka for a Netherlands IT company called ISM. Isitha is a Sound Engineer at his recording label 'Chill House'. Kasun, Yasith and Eshan are full time musicians as well as entrepreneurs.
