Literary tribute for Lata Mangeshkar

‘Lata Mangeshkar’ – a book titled after the world renowned songstress from India, was launched at the Sri Lanka National Library and Documentation Board auditorium recently.
The book, authored by Sangeeth Visharadha Nayana Shyamalee Rajapaksha, depicts the life story and the most memorable moments and junctures of Lata Mangeshkar. The book is an autobiography of the well respected singer from the land which has produced many renowned musicians to the world of music.
Renowned personalities from Sri Lankan music industry — Dr. Praneeth Abhayasundara, Professor Sunanda Mahendra, Dr. Premadasa Sri Alawattage, Sangeeth Visharadha Nawaratna Gamage and Jagath Wickremasinghe graced the book launch.
