Commercial Bank’s ‘Arunalu’ launches country-wide art competition for children

Titled ‘Arunalu Siththam,’ the competition is open to
school-going children in three age groups – Grades 1 to 3,
Grades 4 to 6 and Grades 7 to 9. Contestants can choose their own topics and colour medium, and submit their art on 18 x 16 inch drawing paper on or before
March 14, 2017.

Each drawing should mention the topic and colour medium, the Full Name of the child, Grade, School, Address, Telephone Number and Date on the back of the drawing and every submission should be certified by the child’s School Principal or Class Teacher,  Grama Niladhari or by a Justice of the Peace.

Drawings should be sent to; The Marketing Department
of Commercial Bank, PO Box 856, Colombo 1.
Winners of each age group will receive the following cash prizes.

1st         Place:   Rs. 50,000
2nd         Place:   Rs. 35,000
3rd         Place:   Rs. 25,000
4th        Place:   Rs. 15,000
5th         Place:   Rs. 10,000

Ten highly commended drawings in each group will receive prizes of Rs. 5,000.
The submitted drawings will be judged by an eminent panel of judges comprising reputed professional artists who are experienced in judging paintings created by children.
