The ‘lion’ roared to make the elephant shiver. Bravo to the President of Institute of Charted Accountants of Sri Lanka who had the courage to tell the Minister of Finance face to face to regularise his implementation skills to make the budget proposals a reality.

In a recently concluded Post-budget seminar, the President of CA Sri Lanka point blankly told the Minister that the previous budget proposals were not enacted so much so that the total nation suffered. He further added that a responsible government should ensure and endeavour to practice what it preaches, I am sure the Minister wouldn’t have expected this bold outburst at a huge seminar like that.

It is nice to see that at least some processionals opening their mouths about the issues of the present government, I wish the Minister would have stayed back to hear more adverse comments made by the President of CA, during the Q & A time, which were very sarcastic on the performance of the government in the economic sphere.
