Holcim Lanka is now INSEE Cement
View(s):Sri Lanka’s most popular cement manufacturer, Holcim (Lanka) Ltd – acquired by the Thailand-based Ready-Mixed Concrete Manufacturing Company, Siam City Concrete Company Ltd, a subsidiary of Siam City Cement Public Company Limited, – had changed its name to INSEE Cement from December 1.
The Holcim range of products in future will be marketed under the brand name INSEE cement. The company will maintain its 30 year- heritage by continuing to market ‘Sanstha’ cement and ‘Mahaweli Marine’ for individual home builders. The newly acquired company will also introduce INSEE Pro, INSEE Pro Plus and INSEE Extra to cater to the needs of large infrastructure projects, according to a media release issued by the company.
INSEE is a leading cement manufacturer in Southeast Asia and was founded in 1969 in Thailand. The company manufactures INSEE branded cement, construction aggregates and solutions which are marketed in Cambodia, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka, in addition to Thailand where it is a market leader.
