Hahn Air opens the 300 partner airline gateway for local travel agents

Worldwide ticketing expert Hahn Air has connected with a new e-ticketing functionality to the global distribution systems of Amadeus and Galileo, making the company, a preferred overseas travel partner, officials said.
This link up will enable travel agents in Sri Lanka to issue e-tickets on bookings made with any of Hahn Air’s 300 partner airlines and transport providers, Hahn Air’s Director Global Account Management, Bharat Kapoor told the Business Times on the sidelines of an event organised in Colombo this week to outline Hahn Air’s key products and services.
The event attracted over 100 travel agents from 40 travel agencies including senior representatives from travel media. Sri Lanka’s Jetwing Travels is the service provider of Hahn Air. It is also providing distribution services for air, rail and shuttle partners and ticketing expert ise for travel agents.
Leveraging innovative Electronic Transitional Automated Ticketing (ETAT) solution allows approved travel agencies to issue e-tickets in countries such as Sri Lanka, he said.
Thus Hahn Air will make its tickets available using ETAT via the Galileo global distribution system (GDS) and Jetwing Travels will assist travel agencies as the service provider of Hahn Air, he explained.
Sunil Peiris, Director of Jetwing, Travel Services, noted that the ETAT solution is an excellent opportunity for the travel agents to make booking flights easier.
It also makes perfect sense for them to back this initiative as Hahn Air has established their footprint in the country and the Jet Wing Air has a great working relationship with them.
This will enable the airlines to now sell its flight tickets on Hahn Air’s booking system, thus giving it a direct access to the global platform while easing passengers’ travel worldwide, he said. - (Bandula)
