Is the rock band Aerosmith preparing for their European swansong tour? The band announced a 16 date tour of Europe staring on 20th May 2017, in Georgia amidst rumours that they are going to call it a day after 46 years. Aerosmith has recently concluded a tour of South America. The band’s European segment will cover 13 countries.

Katy Perry is one of the many disappointed US musicians with the recent presidential election results. She fears the next US president will cut taxpayer funding for organisations that work in the reproductive health area. Hence the ‘Roar’ hitmaker has donated $ 10,000 to the Planned Parenthood, an organisation which provides reproductive healthcare.

Ed Sheeran has surprised a young fan receiving treatment in hospital by turning up and singing for her. Sheeran answered an online campaign by the parents of Melody Meadows who is suffering battling Rett Syndrome, a rare brain disorder at Epsom Hospital in Surrey, England by turning up on 7th November and sang two songs ‘Thinking Out Loud’ and ‘Photograph’ for his sick fan. Sheeran also presented the youngster an autographed pink guitar.

Rihanna has become the first artist to pass 110.5 million digital certifications for her songs downloaded or streamed over 15 billion times. Cary Sherlock CEO of the Record Industry Association of American handed the Barbadian singer’s award on 9th November.

Robbie Williams has become the most successful British solo male artist after his new album ‘The Heavy Entertainment’ debuted at the top of the UK album chart recently taking his total albums at the No:1 position to 12. He has released 11 studio albums, seven compilation albums and one live album. He beat the late David Bowie’s record.

Clean Bandit has become only the third UK act to score a No: 1 single on home ground this year thus far with their new song ‘Rockabye’. The electro/dancehall/ tropical house track climbed from 3 to the top with a combined sale of 72,000 after beginning its chart life at No: 7.  ‘Rockabye’ features on lead vocals 25 year singer and songwriter Anne-Marie Nicholson and rapper Sean Paul. The song is the second non album track from Clean Bandit, but is to be featured on their next yet titled future album. ‘Rockabye’ is the second chart topping song for Clean Bandit after ‘Rather Be’ which featured the vocals of Jess Glynne in 2014. The song is jointly penned by band member Jack Patterson along with Steve Mac, Mark Ralph, Drew Smith and Tom Fuller. The song has received major boost after live performances on X-Factor live results show and the MOBO awards. ‘Rockabye’ is also Clean Bandit’s sixth UK top 10 hit song.

Maroon 5 crossed over to the UK top 10 with ‘Don’t Wanna Know’ as the song climbed from 11 to No: 7. The song features rapper Kendrick Lamar. ‘Don’t Wanna Know’ a tropical house track began chart life on the UK chart 16, then dropped to 17 before rising to 11 and 7 this week. The song is featured on the video game Just Dance 2017 and is not tied to an album by Maroon 5 as yet. It is the band’s ninth top 10 UK hit.
