With the success and popularity of the Corporate Communications and Public Relations Certificate course conducted by the Accredited Advertising Agencies Association (4As) in partnership with the Sri Lanka Press Institute (SLPI) which has generated much goodwill, regard and demand from employers, practitioners and students, the organisers have announced its third intake starting mid-October.  With the participation of four experienced industry CEOs, the course focuses on professional hands-on learning with many industry case studies, underpinned by theoretical concepts and methodologies which they share with the students. The course provides an interactive environment valuable to students whether they are novices or more mature practitioners, where they can gain skills needed to succeed in jobs in Corporate Communications and PR, whether within a consultancy or organisation, the 4As said in a media release. Students from previous batches benefitted from the insight of top experts in these fields, who will be the lecturers this time around as well. The lecture panel includes Founder Chairman of Bates Strategic Alliance – Nimal Gunewardena, CEO of Omnicom Media Group, Sri Lanka – Keith Wijesuriya and Managing Director of Words Advertising – Rohan Rajaratnam.

Course Director and President of Spirit & Soul, Adrian Ferdinands, does two inspiring sessions on Personal Branding, which will help students in their professional careers.  “The 4As is dedicated to fostering creative talent through collaboration. It is with this in mind that we continue our partnership with the Sri Lanka Press Institute to offer this course now for a third time for those interested in sharpening their skills or pursuing a career in Corporate Communications and PR,” said President of the 4As and COO of Bates Strategic Alliance, Sheron Jayasundara.  “Being a premier institution in the field of communication, SLPI has been working towards professionalising journalism for more than a decade. We feel this proven partnership with 4A’s adds another dimension our role in bringing communications and media programmes of this nature, which is not only sought out by the corporate but also by individuals” said the CEO of SLPI, Kumar Lopez.

The course kicks off  on October 18 at SLPI
