The Royal Asiatic Society Sri Lanka’s (RASSL) monthly public lecture on Monday, tomorrow, at 5 p.m. will be on “Reward Management Practices of Monasteries with Reference to the Epigraph of King Mahinda IV (1026-1042 CE)”. It will be delivered by Dinithi Padmasiri, Lecturer, Department of Human Resource Management, University of Kelaniya at the Gamini Dissanayake Auditorium, No. 96, Ananda Coomaraswamy Mawatha, Colombo 7. With the origin of mankind on the planet earth, Human Resource Management (HRM) was born. Simply said, HRM is managing people. Reward Management (RM) is recognised as one of the significant Human Resource Management (HRM) functions in the contemporary world. The research objectives were to examine the ancient reward management practices during 1026–1042 CE, and to compare today’s reward management practices with those in the ancient past.
