India International Smartphone OPPO which commands the fourth place in the global market launched its newest product “OPPO F1s”, last week in Mumbai, India, the latest in OPPO’s photography-focused F series.  This model will be available in India, Sri Lanka and all other South and South East Asian countries from mid-August, OPPO Vice President and Managing Director of International Mobile Business Sky Li, said at the launch.  The star-studded event was graced by Sonam Kapoor – OPPO’s brand ambassador and Yuvraj Singh, Indian star cricketer. ‘The F1 has been very popular since it was launched and in the F1s, we’re building on its key strengths to bring an even better photography experience to a wide range of consumers,’ stated Mr. Li.

“More than 10 million consumers are enjoying the F1 and F1 Plus, and we’re confident the F1s will carry on this success and become another hit product.”  The F1s is a progression from the ‘Selfie Expert’ title of its predecessor, the F1, raising the bar with a 16 MP front camera and feature set of Beautify 4.0 in rear and front cams. Aside from it, the model also features a 5.5-inch HD display. OPPO F1s is a dual-SIM smartphone. It is powered by an octa-core MT6750 processor with 3GB RAM and 32 GB ROM (expandable up to 128GB via microSD card).

The smart phone also sports a fingerprint sensor and it seems it can unlock in 0.22seconds.  The OPPO F1s bears a 13-megapixel rear camera with PDAF autofocus, an f/2.2 aperture, and dual-LED flash.  The front camera also features an upgraded front screen flash function, which adjusts to compensate the current light conditions allowing users to capture selfies with more depth and details in low light backgrounds. One of the key benefits of the F1s, is that it packs a large 3075 mAh battery, whose performance is boosted by ColorOS 3.0′s state-of-the-art power-saving optimizations.

In a test that simulates non-stop real-world use with a mechanical arm, the F1s coasted through 14 hours, meaning it will easily keep users going from dawn until dusk.  Sensors on board include proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, accelerometer, and digital compass.  The model has passed more than 390 different design tests from raw material to mass production and 822 different design procedures.  These features will allow the user to find a desired setting for the looks that he or she may be seeking in the image. The particular beautification algorithms have been updated based on feedback from hundreds of real-life users, Mr. Li said.
