Security-Men, Sales-Women, Shuttle Champs of Cinnamon Grand
View(s):The Security and Sales teams won the Men’s and Women’s titles respectively, at the 2016 Cinnamon Grand Inter-Department Badminton Championship held at the Royal College Indoor Sports Complex on July 23. With 20 teams competing, the games were intense and well contested. Security Eagles won the Men’s Open championship beating Finance Tuskers ‘B’. Sales Force won the Women’s Open overcoming Kitchen Culinary. The Men’s Over-40 category was also won by Security Eagles when they beat Finance Tuskers ‘A’. J.K.A. Mahendra won Man of the Tournament in the Men’s Open, while Man of the Tournament in the Men’s Over-40 category went to Priyanga Disanayake, both from Security Eagles. Vishadini Fernando from the Sales Force won Woman of the Tournament. Over 150 from the Hotel’s associates participated in this inaugural Championship.
