Mihin Lanka now flies to the Maldives, Jakarta and Seychelles, three holiday destinations that allow travellers visa on arrival facilities.  “These destinations all provide unique experiences to be enjoyed by the whole family. With the August school vacation approaching, the theme parks in Jakarta, the nature tours in the Seychelles and the thrilling water sports in the Maldives provide the ideal ingredients for a memorable family vacation,” the airline said last week.  The Maldives is renowned for its astounding tropical weather and its stunning beaches, which offers tourists the getaway of a lifetime.

Male is the busting capital city and the thriving economic epicentre of the Maldives. Mihin Lanka offers 6 flights a week from Colombo to the Maldives so that holiday-makers can experience peaceful and quiet beaches surrounded by lush flora and fauna.  The Seychelles Islands are renowned for its breath-taking seascapes, tropical weather and crystal clear waters, which make it a much sought after destination for holiday-makers. Mihin Lanka operates from Colombo to the Seychelles every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, a journey which takes just 4 hours.

Jakarta offers a mix of shopping and entertainment for the whole family with cinemas, malls, bazaar’s, theme parks and even skating rinks. Glodok (Jakarta’s Chinatown) is a chaotic and maze-like market created by alleyways lined with food carts, temples and hawker stalls, marketing everything from incense to fashion to local delicacies. Mihin Lanka flies to Jakarta five times a week and will operate daily flights from the Bandaranaike International Airport to Jakarta from July 21 onwards, the airline media release said.
