The 11th edition of the Hotel Show Colombo 2016 will be held from the 22nd – 24th July at the BMICH, in Colombo. This year’s event will focus on its theme ‘Hospitality Industry Vision 20 – 20’. The organisers in a media release said they expect to bring out futuristic displays and innovations at this fair for the benefit of the local and regional hospitality industry.
hairman of the event organising committee Trevine Gomez said that the exhibition itself will have many new value additions such as a specialised app for the benefit of the exhibitors and visitors along with high-tech signage. A special focus will also be given to the boutique hotel segment in Sri Lanka which is a fast growing market with almost over 800 boutique hotels in the country.
This year’s Hotel Show Colombo which coincides with the 50th anniversary celebration of Sri Lanka Tourism is organised by the Ceylon Hotel Schools Graduates Association (CHSGA). It has over 250 stalls from over 20 countries and is the largest hospitality trade fair in South Asia. Over 10,000 people from Sri Lanka and the region are expected to visit this show.
