WNL sponsors Tantirimale Aloka Pooja for 13th year

The “Lankadeepa Poson Aloka Poojawa,” organised by Wijeya Newspapers Ltd (WNL) for the 13th consecutive year, will take place at the Tantirimale Raja Maha Vihara premises on June 18, 19 and 20.
The Tantirimale Raja Maha Vihara is well known as being one of the most revered locations for Buddhists in the country.
It is recorded that the Sri Maha Bodhi was placed at this location for one night while it was being taken by Arahat Sangamitta Theri. It was also home to many Arahat Theras throughout the years and an important archaeological site.
Wijaya Newspapers has also organised many other religious programmes in and around the Tantirimale sacred site during this period.
