Fans were dreaming for years that the group ABBA will reunite. They waited and then taken by surprise at a private function held in Stockholm, Sweden when all four members of the onetime Swedish super group came on stage to mark their 50th anniversary on June  for a rare sing-along.  Pictures of the rare event are now online they show them singing and hugging each other. ABBA came to the fore in 1974 with the song ‘Waterloo’ which won the Eurovision song contest. The group comprised Agnetha Faltstog, Bjorn Ulvaeus, Benny Anderson and Anni-Frida Lyngstad, split up in 1982. They sold over 380 million albums. There were many rumours and stories floating around, some credible about ABBA’s reunion for years.

New music by David Bowie could be on the way by the late David Bowie. Reports indicate his long term producer Tony Visconti is negotiating with the Bowie management to release the previously unreleased songs. Bowie released his last album ‘Blackstar’ on his 69th birthday, two before he died of cancer.

The Revolution has announced they have recorded music with Prince to make two albums. The band was the backing band for Prince during his Purple Rain era. The band claims the recordings are at the late musician’s Paisley Park.

Eric Clapton has collaborated on two new songs for the next Rolling Stones album. The recording came about by coincidence as Clapton was working in an adjoining studio when he was asked to join in for a jam session. The recordings took place at the studio in Chiswick, West London with producer Don Was.
