Bharti Airtel, a leading global telecommunications company with operations in 20 countries across Asia and Africa, recently re-opened a playground with all new facilities for the children of Kedahe Nekutunu Wewa Vidyalaya, Kahatagasdigiliya, Anuradhapura.

The project which was carried out by Airtel Lanka as one of their Corporate Social Responsibility projects, was declared open by  Mr. Jinesh Hegde – CEO/MD of Bharti Airtel Lanka and  Mr. A.M.U.E. Adhikaram – Regional Education Director of Anuradhapura.

The school has over 100 under-privileged children studying between the Grades of  1 – 5 with little or no facilities. Airtel Lanka also took on the initiative in constructing a new toilet with sanitation facilities.
