Indu Dharmasena returns to his favourite stage at the Lionel Wendt with ‘Run for Your Wife’, Ray Cooney’s 1983 comedy about a man playing a fine (and hilarious) balancing act between two women.

In Run For Your Wife, John Smith is a cab driver in London with two wives, two entirely distinct lives and a meticulous schedule for keeping these two lives and wives from each other. One wife lives in Stratham, the other in Wimbledon and neither is aware of each other’s existence. Things get complicated when John is mugged and ends up at hospital.

Indu will play John Smith, while Sanwada Dharmasena and Michelle Herft will play the two wives. Abbas Rozais and Anuk Dharamsena will play the two police officers, George Cooke will play neighbour Stanley Gardiner and Yasal Ruhunage will play the other, complicit neighbour Bobby Franklin.

‘Run for Your Wife’ goes on the boards at the Lionel Wendt from February 19-21, 7.30 pm onwards. The show is presented by the Rotaract Club of Colombo Metropolitan. Tickets available at the venue from Feb 8.
