The Sri Lanka – Australia- New Zealand Business Council (SLANZBC) of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce recently hosted its Annual Christmas Fellowship dinner on December 10 at the Waters Edge. The event was graced by Robyn Mudie High Commissioner of Australia, Grahame Morton, High Commissioner of New Zealand and Shelly Whiting, High Commissioner of Canada, Tim Huggins, Deputy High Commissioner for Australia and other high ranking officials from both Australia and New Zealand High Commission, the council said in a media release. More than 190 guests ranging from different embassy officials with their families and their friends, SLANZBC members with their families and friends attended the event, providing “an excellent occasion to network and fellowship with an elite business community”, the council said.

The Lidechsi Group, John Keells, Glolan International, Qantas Airways, Abans, Delmege Forsyth, Westmann Engineering, AG International, Zam Gemas, Citrus Leisure, Aitken Spence Travels, Amaya Hotels, Cinnamon Air, Hayleys Leisure, Cinnamon Hotels, Kingsbury, Wijeya Newspapers and many other organisations played a significant role in sponsoring the event. Council President Lionel D.C Silva praised Ambassador Ms. Mudie for her unstinted support and, SLANZBC, in bidding her farewell (at the end of her term) presented her with a memento.
