Commemorating Thilo Hoffmann
View(s):There will be a ‘Commemoration of the Life of Thilo Hoffmann and Introduction to his Biography’ at 6 p.m. on Thursday (December 10) at the auditorium of the Meteorological Department off Bauddhaloka Mawatha, Colombo 7.
The biography titled ‘The Faithful Foreigner’ by Douglas Ranasinghe commemorates the life and contribution of environmental campaigner Mr. Hoffman. While the event will include Lectures on ‘Thilo W. Hoffmann – the environmental activist’ by Jagath Gunawardena and ‘The Serendib Scops Owl and Thilo Hoffmann’ by Deepal Warakagoda the ‘Author’s Talk’ on the biography will be by Mr. Ranasinghe.
‘The Biography of Thilo Hoffmann’ will also be on sale at the concessionary rate of Rs. 2000, whereas it is priced at Rs. 3000.
