A new play area

The primary school students of Holy Family Convent, Bambalapitiya had something special awaiting them on October 1, 2015. In celebration of World’s Children Day, the school gifted its younger children with a brand new play area, a delightful addition to students in their formative years.
With funds raised through the Little Familian Rhythmic Vibes ’14 and contributions from the school Welfare Society, the school transformed the facility into a brand new play area.
The project was a brainchild of Primary School Principal Rev. Sr. Merita Fernando and had the blessings of Rev. Sr. Chandani Jayasuriya, the Principal.
“This has been a dream for me for several years as I believe it’s important for children to engage in play during their formative years,” said Sr. Merita Fernando. “So I am very happy today to see my dream come true.”
