Responsibilities of the Labour Dept

Recently we read in newspapers and viewed on TV how billions of rupees of money employers have to contribute to EPF and ETF for their workers have however not been sent to the Labour Department, cheating the workers.

There are also cases where compensation to employees are not been paid according to rules. There are long delays in these payments. Meanwhile employees are not provided basic facilities in some offices and factories.

We kindly request the Labour Department to look into these employee grievances and take very early corrective action. Please do not wait till the employees demonstrate in front of the Labour Ddepartment demanding action for their rightful dues.
