Calling Sri Lankan Youth: Join the Global Youth Consultation

View(s):

Young people from all over the world will come together and discuss ways to reshape the future of humanitarian action at the World Humanitarian Summit Global Youth Consultation in Doha, Qatar on September 1 and 2.

The United Nations in Sri Lanka encourages Sri Lankan youth to participate in the Global Youth Consultation. They can follow the livestream of the event and participate online via Pigeonhole Live, an interactive Q&A tool.

Questions can be sent in for the speakers and youth around the world can vote for their favourite questions. The top voted questions will be answered by the panelists at the event. The ideas from youth will feed into the first World Humanitarian Summit, an initiative of the United Nations Secretary-General. This global summit on humanitarian action will be held in Istanbul on May 23 – 24, 2016. The goal of the summit is to bring the global community together to commit to new ways of working together to save lives and reduce hardship around the globe.
