Metal heavyweights Stigmata, celebrating their 15th anniversary this year, announced their fourth album ‘The Ascetic Paradox” recently on stage at Rockfest 2015 at The Women’s International Club, Colombo. The album launch is scheduled for October this year and would be followed by an international tour and album release.

“Saints & Sinners” – the band’s sixth Special Show out of the big 15 will held at the QBAA on August 23 giving fans an opportunity to get up close and personal, experiencing a rare club appearance by the band. “In the last couple of years we have only headlined, represented the country and performed at large scale events and festivals; from Army Stadiums to amphitheaters to auditoriums etc., and gigs of such magnitude offer an uncanny experience on their own,” stated the quintet. “But performing at QBAA will give us an opportunity to play a longer set, encapsulating material from all three of our albums, with the emphasis of course being us showcasing (and showing off) new stuff off “The Ascetic Paradox” which will be launched on October 17.

Tickets are priced at Rs. 700 per head and will be available at the entrance. The concert starts at 7 p.m. and will conclude by 11 p.m.
Audiences can expect a one hour opening set by Salvage followed by a full two hour set by Stigmata.
