Admission forms for the GCE Advanced Level (A/L) exam have been posted to schools, the Exams Dept said.
Examinations Commissioner General W.M.N.J. Pushpakumara has instructed school principals to handover admission forms to school applicants without delay. He said if there are any concerns/issues with regard to the subjects, they should notify the Exams Dept immediately.

The streams selected by the students based on the subjects are stated in the forms, he said.

The A/L exam this year will be held from August 5 to September 8. Due to Parliamentary elections it will be held in two stages with a break from August 13 to 24.

Candidates of the recently introduced Technology stream will sit for A/L exams for the first time this year. The subjects offered are Science for Technology, Engineering Technology and Bio Systems Technology. This will lead to the introduction of a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) Degree in local universities next year.
