Year 6 students of  Colombo International School Kandy, were at the Knuckles range on June 5, planting  young saplings to mark
World Environment Day.  District Regional Officer for the area, Mrs. Pavitra Wanigasekara initiated the programme.

The students had an enjoyable day, attending to the planting sessions first and trekking a nature trail.  “We always visit these places to enjoy nature, it is now time to give something back to what sustains the eco systems in the world,” Some teachers present at the venue, observed.

Teachers hope that they will be able to continue this task every year with each new batch.
