European Union Delegation in Colombo in partnership with High Commission of Canada, Embassy of France, Embassy of Switzerland and Agenda 14 presents WOMAN Poster competition and exhibition for the second time this week. Selected posters from nearly 300 entries received from all over the island, will be displayed in the exhibition at Lionel Wendt Gallery from May 26-28 from 8.30am-7.30pm.

Competition was held under two categories; Children and Open and winners will be given awards and cash prizes at the opening of the exhibition on 25th evening. The chief guest of the ceremony will be Mrs. Jezima Ismial.

Organisers hope to create awareness on gender issues among children and public by organising this exhibition and they will be launching a picture postcard campaign to create more awareness on the issues late this week. Post cards carry the images of the winning entries from last year’s Woman poster competition.
