Opening batsman, Himal Fonseka carried his bat to score a sparkling 125 not out in 63 balls inclusive of 7 sixes and an equal number of fours to propel Eagle Logistics to a high flying seven wickets win over MAS Active ‘B’, in the ongoing 12th David Pieris Group of Companies, ‘DPGC’ Challenge Trophy, MCA ‘E’ division 30-Over League Tournament, continued last Saturday.

Thus, the league stage of the tournament came to a close after 102 matches; Pre-quarter finals with the top 16 teams from the 6 groups will be worked off this weekend.

Faisal, who top scored for them with a solid half century (52 in 40 balls, inclusive of 4 sixes and 3 fours) and medium pacer, M. Askar, who made early in roads into the Lankem batting, finishing with impressive figures of 3/9 in 4 overs.
