“A Million Blooms” – an exhibition of Western and Ikebana floral arrangements will be held in the Bougainvillea Ballroom of the Galadari Hotel, today February 8 and Monday, 9 from 10 a.m to 7 p.m. on both days.

The exhibition is presented by the Shi-en Ikebana & Floral Art Society, a non-profit organisation formed in 1991, to promote the art of Ikebana and Western floral art as a hobby in Sri Lanka. Award winning floral designer Harijanto Setiawan, the Advisor to the Society, whose recent achievements include the Silver Gilt Medal at the Chelsea Flower Show in London, will conduct a demonstration today, Sunday, February 8 at the Galadari Hotel at 5 p.m. The Galadari Hotel is sponsoring his stay in Colombo.

Funds raised from the exhibition will help children suffering from Thalassaemia, in the Thalassaemia unit in Kiribathgoda.
