Aru Sri Art Theatre presents dance drama ‘Jai Rama’

The Aru Sri Art Theatre presents Jai Rama, a dance drama on Friday, November 7 at 6. 45 p.m. at the Bishops College Auditorium. Produced and directed by Kalasuri Dr Arunthathy Sri Ranganathan, the dance drama is presented with the support of the High Commission of India, Express Newspapers, Vasantham TV, Blue Ocean group of companies and well wishers.

Parshwanath Upadhye, a leading exponent in Bharatha natyam from Bangalore, India will be performing as a guest artist in this production playing the key role of Hanuman. Mohanapriyan and Luxmi Sriharan will also choreograph and perform main characters with Vidya Kandeepan , Dakshith , Amila , Pranesh, Kaushalya, Theepa , the total cast being 45 dancers. Low country dancers from the Ravibandu Vidyapathy ensemble, Kathak and contemporary dances are included to bring out the story.
