The Toccata Musical Group, in Colombo recently for performances, officially handed over medical equipment to Tellippalai Trail Cancer Hospital, Jaffna.

During the Sri Lankan tour, Toccata donated a large quantity of used medical equipment to Tellippalai Trail Cancer Hospital, collected from hospitals throughout Northern Ireland. DIMO was the Platinum Sponsor of the Toccata Musical Group and facilitated this service to assist local hospitals. “DIMO ventured into this sponsorship mainly to facilitate the contribution that was being made towards the hospital,” said Ranjith Pandithage Chairman-DIMO at a simple ceremony in Colombo to hand over medical equipment to the Tellippalai Trail Cancer hospital.
Dedicated doctors and nurses from Northern Ireland collect, donate and ship medical equipment from UK to the countries where Toccata performs, to raise the standard of care.

These selected hospitals in Sri Lanka will be the beneficiaries of valuable and nearly new medical equipment including X-ray and scanning equipment, hospital beds, ventilators, patient bedside monitors etc.

Toccata is the brainchild of Dr. Sunil Paulraj, a Neonatal specialist working at Neonatal Intensive Care at the Royal Hospital in Belfast.
