“Navigator”, an online service that lists names and addresses and other necessary details of service providers and helps potential clients connect with them via Internet, is now in operation, head of the match-making service said.

Deepal Lokugalappaththi, head of the “Navigator” service told the Business Times that skilled workers, entrepreneurs, professionals, small businesses and other service providers will be provided with an opportunity to get listed with The Navigator in order to reach clients who need them and expand their network.

These service providers will have to join “the Navigator” on-line directory, add their services, business profile according to appropriate category and promote their business / services using this online facility.

“What they will have to do is simply text (SMS) +94 766 760 770, +94 716 760 770 indicating their name, add important information such as e-mail, location (address), nature of business and navigate people straight into their business,” he added. Following the registration with “Navigator” with contact details and location clients will be able to conveniently reach service providers by contacting via mobile phones and addresses, he explained.

“The Navigator” is operating as a business directory where anyone could navigate finding and interacting with the available providers for desired skilled/professional services.

End-users will also be allowed to rate their product/service utilization experiences relating to the service providers in order to classify and highlight the best offer delivering customer value, he pointed out.

It also provides information relating to Sri Lanka, its tourist destinations, administration and safety, and public services for the convenience of the information navigators/ tourists visiting Sri Lanka. The Navigator platform functions a work-availability enhancer for grass-root level skilled individuals, boosting their income by assisting people linking with such skilled individuals, thus contributing to the GDP growth of the country, Mr. Lokugalappaththi revealed.
