A creative writing workshop for first-time as well as experienced writers organised by the United States-Sri Lanka Fulbright Commission will be held on April 9 from 3 p.m. to 5.30 p.m.

It will be conducted by Dr. Lucy Melbourne, a Fulbright-Nehru Scholar who holds a PhD in comparative literature from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, USA.

Dr. Melbourne is listed in Who’s Who in American Scholars and maintains an author page on Amazon.com.

The workshop looks to help participants improve their English writing and reading skills, find the power of their own voice and learn to appreciate good writing. They will read and work on poetry and short stories in small groups with individualised support from this experienced professor and published writer.
