Gateway College Colombo will present its annual concert ‘Soul Rhythm’ today (March 30) at the Bishop’s College Auditorium. The show is a tribute to the school’s own talented youngsters and is organised by the Prefects’ Guild and graduating Batch of 2014.

The finalists performing at the event have been adjudged by some of Sri Lanka’s top names in the industry including internationally recognised guitarist and vocalist Kamal Perera, Jayantha De Silva, lead vocalist of the band ‘Battery’ Devshan Perera and pop, RnB and jazz singer Umaria Sinhawansa. They have narrowed the numbers from a wide pool of talented performers to facilitate an evening of variety, with performances ranging from solos, duets, band numbers and a heady dose of Bollywood and Hip Hop dance. Adding to the diversity, Soul Rhythm 2014 will also feature collaborations with respective bands from Gateway College Colombo and Kandy.

Performer Dushyanth Weeraman will also light up the stage as guest performer for the night. The singer will be backed by a team of Gateway’s own home-grown talent; a team of dancers trained by Dushyanth himself. Soul Rhythm is on today at the Bishop’s College Auditorium from 6:30pm. Tickets available at the gate.
