Red Lotus distributes ‘First Aid Boxes’

launched by the Red Lotus Humanitarian Services Organisation. Its first programme, in the first phase, was recently conducted at the Bodhirajarama Temple in Talduwa , Avissawella. First Aid boxes with medicines, equipment as well as a handbook were distributed among 40 selected monks, teachers representing 10 Buddhist temples after giving them training in First Aid.

At the invitation of Red Lotus, male and female nurses from the Health Unit of the Avissawella Base Hospital provided the practical training.

Mr. D.D.S. Jayawardene donated the funds for the first phase of this project and Red Lotus invites well-wishers to donate funds to continue this project. For more information,
