Love, show some…

Love, what is it? Some may describe it as a strong feeling of attraction and powerful emotion while others merely see it as a funny tingly feeling in the heart. This is a topic that all of us can relate to as all of us have experienced love to various extents during our lives. I believe that love is what joins humans together, shapes our lives.

In the current world love is easily said but not easily practiced. People do not stop to think what sort of actions or decisions should follow with this word “love” that all of us hold so dear to our hearts. Why I have decided on touching this topic is that as everyone knows Valentine’s Day will soon be upon us; another time of the year that people try to show how much something means to them by exploiting their disposable income and at times even their life savings.

This Valentine’s day let’s stop, take a minute to try and comprehend the scope and gravity of this emotion that we call love. Whether we will restrict it to just our partners and shower them with extravagant things or to actually do something meaningful to people that really need someone to show them what love is, to ensure that love is not totally lost. We sometimes lose the bond between families. Children rarely spend time with their parents. Siblings treat each other like they don’t exist. Friends dispute for the slightest issues. We need to use love to address these issues first. Maybe afterwards we can reach out to the bigger issues.Once we have realised what actually needs to happen we have to believe in ourselves and put thoughts into action. Make a change in someone’s life; put a smile on their face. This valentine’s day let’s make that our goal too. Apart from just acting on attraction. Happy Valentine’s day.
