Three theatrical productions that had a successful run over the recent past will be staged at Namel Malani Punchi theatre from January 17 to 19 at 3.30 and 6.45pm.  Starting with “Deyyoth Danne Ne” directed by well versed cinema, television and stage actor, Sarath Kulanga on January 17, Ravindra Ariyaratne’s immensely successful drama which passed 500 shows recently on January 18 while Ajith Mendis’ latest comedy play, “Kema Lasthi” will be staged on Sunday January 19.

“Deyyoth Danne Ne” stars Wijaya Nandasiri, Kumara Thirimadura, Mihira Sirithilaka, Sarath Kulanga, Thushari Gunarathne, Tharanga Kumari, Tharaka Upendra, art direction by Jagath Padmasiri and stage lighting by Upali Weerasinghe. The play is produced by Jude Srimal of Nirmala Prakasha. Following a foreign tour in America and Canada one of the most popular plays in the recent past “Balloth Ekka be” which will be on January 18 features Wijaya Nandasiri, Kumara Thirimadura, Roshan Pilapitiya, Gihan Fernando and Ferny Roshini in the main cast. “Balloth ekka baa” is produced by the Asle J. Lanka Computer Training Institute.

Starring Sriyantha Mendis, Janaka Kumbukage, Madini Maiwattege, Wasantha Wittachchi, Saman Hemarathne, Keerthi K. Ratnayake, Pradeep Arugama and Samantha Paranaliyanage, music composition, sound management, set design and stage management of “Kema Lasthi” are handled by Sarath Kulanga, Chandana Nishantha Pieris, Llewellin Vanderwall and Sameera Hettiarachchi respectively.

Costume design by Kamalkanthi Bogoda, Make up by Wasantha Wittachchi while lighting effects are by Upali Weerasinghe. Organised by Jude Srimal all seats have been box-planned and tickets for all three plays are available at the theatre.
