Siyapatha Finance wins Gold for Annual Report 2013
View(s):Siyapatha Finance Ltd, formerly known as Sampath Leasing and Factoring Ltd prior to obtaining a finance company licence, recently won the Gold award in the Specialised Leasing Company category at the Annual Report Awards 2013 competition organized by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka.
Arthur Senanayake, Chairman of Siyapatha Finance Ltd received the award from Preethi Jayawardena, CEO of the Chemanex PLC. Siyapatha Finance Ltd is a fully owned subsidiary of Sampath Bank and also its largest subsidiary.
“Focusing on the continuous growth and new product introductions to the financial sector coupled with its overall performance above the industry average, the company’s 2012 annual report was themed as ‘We get noticed’. The report predominantly highlighted the innovative financial products and new opportunities Siyapatha Finance bestowed to the local clientele,” a statement from the bank said.
Roshan Nanayakkara CEO of Siyapatha Finance said that winning the Gold award for 2013 is a significant achievement which proves that the company is navigating itself in the right direction whilst maintaining good financial reporting practices coupled with sound corporate governance and transparency.
