Sri Jayewardenepura University does well in cricket
View(s):The University of Sri Jayewardenepura, emerged champions of the Sri Lanka State Services Cricket (C Division) 2011, was the 2nd runner’s up of Bangalore Inter-college cricket tournament which was organized by 21st Century Sports Consultants under the international cricket exchange program from 24th to 28th November 2013, in Bangalore, India. The results were decided on the run rate as rain disrupted the last match.
Ishan Palpola, the captain of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura was named man-of-the-series. The best-bowler was Dinusha Ranganath and the best batsman was Duminda Kumara. Sumith Walpita coached the team.
