Choir of Visually Handicapped Singers prepare seasonal favourites

View(s):

It’s the month of Christmas and the Choir of Visually Handicapped Singers has been hard at practice getting ready with a full complement of Christmas carols and seasonal favourites. The choir of blind singers is adept at four-part harmony and their repertoire includes Sinhala, English and Tamil carols interspersed with German and Swedish verses. They have performed at many leading institutions over the years and look forward to bookings for this season too.

The choir is available for performances of 20 to 40 minute duration and can be remunerated on a reasonable basis by mutual agreement with due consideration for practices, transport, appropriate dress etc. Those interested in helping these deserving singers could contact the Asst. Administrative Secretary of the Sri Lanka Federation of the Blind Rienzie Benedict on 2437768/2305256/ or 4380135.
