Plans are underway to organise a security exhibition at the BMICH in Colombo next year, the first of its kind, where members can exhibit their services and products.

Major Tissa Aluwihare, Country President of Bren and Securitas Sri Lanka who was last week unanimously elected as President of the Sri Lanka Security Service Providers Association (SLASSPA), said the exhibition would be under the patronage of the association.
The SLASSPA would occupy a major information stall wherein it could propagate its vision to the public and the business community at large.

“Foreign companies, which deal in the latest security technology systems, would also be invited to participate, thus raising the benchmark of knowledge vis-a-vis the local trade,” he told the 9th annual general meeting of the association held in Colombo on Friday.

This fair would give SLASSPA, the member companies and the industry the much needed exposure and help generate a sense of healthy competitiveness amongst members, thereby creating conditions for an accelerated progress of the industry as a whole.

“The SLASSPA President has led his company, Bren Security, with outstanding success, culminating in its merger with Securitas AB of Sweden in 2010. Securitas AB is the world’s knowledge leader in security with a presence in 53 countries around the globe,” a media statement from the association said.
